Arsenal v. Everton [SPOILER]

So the Arse pounds Boro only to go out and lose at home to Everton one nil? Ouch. Don't know if I share Johno's confidence of 2-0 for United tomorrow, but I do think they'll pull out 3 points one way or another. In fairness, I didn't get up at the crack of dawn to watch this and haven't taken a look yet on TiVo. How'd both teams look? Rock the Crossbar

  • Should have saved some of those 7 goals - either from Boro or from Everton last year.

  • David Pleat calling Gilberto "Gilbert" is priceless..

  • Oh hang on.. there is a Gilbert.

Man-breasted Beattie has just scored in the replay.

  • Bloody typical. That was very difficult viewing. Just watching Gilbo get dominated and Freddi laying around on his ass begging for a call and a yellow card made me ill.

    Must do better.

  • I watched the whole thing as I am a wonderful supporter... Anyway Freddy should have put us 1-0 up but he was so scared in front of goal that he contrived to allow Martyn to save onto his post, he should have buried it... Sixty seconds later fat Beattie scores.. After that we were soft Arsenal - Pires was like a blade of grass, Freddie was skilless, Gilberto I think wasnt match fit, he was chugging and when he got the ball it was like watching Richard Hughes kick it...Terrible stuff. Gilbert at right back did well, Fabregas played like he cared and the new lad Diarry or something was impressive for me, he will make a big difference in the middle I feel. Reyes too played like he cared. Away from home, Arsenal are beyond soft - wtching Sol Campbell moan cos he had to play against big Dunc at the end was priceless - how a man the size of SOl cant rise to the challenge is beyond me but typifies the softness of Arsenal - they have to tackle and get amongst these teams.. else Bolton will eliminate us from the cup next week.
