Shut Up Already

While I still think he can be something, I've been through apologizing for this panzy for ages. If MLS is going to spend $900K to keep him happy, they should invest another $30,000 employing some intern whose job it is to keep Landycakes quiet. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=380216&cc=5901

  • No true American can support him neither can the English. I've said it before and will say it again - If the average Yank or Brit in the early 40s was cut from the same cloth as Donovan, we would be speaking German.

Why is he "elegant" and does he think there is no sun or no beaches and women in Europe? On the contrary, European birds are easier than prudish septics and I'll take the Med any day over "sunny California". Hamburgers, you must be joking. Think you could find those too unless you're looking for White Castle you stupid plank.

Seven goals in Thirteen games - against inferior opposition. That proves a lot.

He then admits he could be better if in Europe but would not be a happier person - As Marky Mark said, if you ain't in it to win it then get the hell out.

    F%$k off Donovan

  • There are 2 things the trouble and strife does not easily admit - 1)she enjoys watching American football and 2) she has a pretty good understanding of football. Both come from growing up in central Pennsylvania where the Nittany Lions are religion and her high school was so small it only had a soccer team. For the English and Irish: Picture a depressed agricultural area with no life whatsoever between Birmingham and Manchester. I don't know if it exists, but that's a pretty good analogy for central PA.

The first time - literally the very first time she laid eyes on him - it was some world cup qualifier - she turned to me and said, "Who is that little punk? He looks like a bitchy little thug." I told you she was smarter than I was.

  • My gf, who I live with, went to Penn State and was raised near Philadelphia and she STILL knows nothing about American football, real football (soccer) and, hopefully, nothing about Landycakes.

She also will not get on my case for today's loss to Chesterfield. I am in Citeh hell. Simon, please delete all of my old posts about European glory in 2007-08.

Hello League One! After all, Chesterfield is currently 17th!

    F-ing nightmare.

  • Stuart Pearce is rubbish GAC. You need to lose him quickly. I mentioned this in an earlier thread but jumping around on the sideline and running on the pitch is cute at first and might initiall lift the team for 10-20 games but it is not sustainable as an effective management technique and eventually you have to know what you are talking about to succeed and SP doesn't.
And yes, you might just take 4 points off United again and everyone will forget how crap he is until the next day.

  • Yes, I was ready to post some Pearce mockery today but have been swamped. Citeh lost 13 out of last 16 games and only beat Arsenal with a close your eyes penalty and a miracle defensive performance. We have already passed you in the table and have a game in hand. Chesterfield did you last night and I predict Pearce gone in 2 weeks and if you are lucky Alan Curbishley will take the job. Citeh are terrible, absolutely terrible. 4 points off United and 3 off Arsenal wont keep you up. Pearce - worst manager in Premiership history. Bar none.

  • He was a shit player too. Way overrated.

  • I have no arguments this time with anything ya'll have written...keep me away from sharp objects and ledges. Pearce does not seem to have his squad prepared to take on a pub team. I'm truly disappointed but I should have seen it coming. Terrible. Absolutely terrible.

  • At least our track suited manager would still have his job as the voice of the Geico gecko
