incredible
What a game yesterday, whether you enjoyed the result or not I have never seen a game have so much going for it - howlers from a dodgy keeper, cramp from half the participants that forced defenders to take most of the penalties, attacking football and that goal by Gerrard which will be forever remembered as will Harewoods crippling miss. I hope Sven puts Gerrard forward this June because he is simply incredible. God clearly is a Liverpool fan after Istanbul and then this one.

Pepe was dodgy on the day no question! He may be the Premiership keeper of the year but I think that's more a reflection of the defense than anything else. I have seen Reina enough to know that with a weak back four in front of him he would not be anywhere near as good. As for Seaman - the Ronnie goal was at a time he was dodgy!

Ian - do you have any concerns about Reina's ability in the air? He is allegedly 6' 2" which I find suspect. Even if he is, he doesn't have much of a presence in the air and comes across as being even smaller.

I am not saying Cech would have taken Sunderland to Europe or anything but I think its fair to say Reina is a decent keeper with a stellar back 4, Lehmann this year has looked a stellar keeper with a horrible ever changing back 4. VDS has looked good despite a shaky defence. For me Reina has done okay but he is howler prone, this will be proven more and more!

Quiet Truefan. Let me hear from someone who has actually watched the FA Cup final.

Whatever the stats say, I would take Reina 5th out of those 5 right now. Behind VDS too.
I think he is obviously a very talented goalkeeper and is young with loads of time to get much better but I have my doubts about him. We'll see. No point in debating it here or Rich will beat me with more OPTA stats.
Do you have his catch ratio with runners in scoring position?
By TheBusbyBoy, at 7:18 PM
I find his height suspect because he looks like the smallest player in the 6-yard-box for a corner.
Rio Ferdinand for example is also listed at 6' 2". I'll pay close attention to which is taler the next time Rio scores a last minute corner past him.
Maybe he stuffed his boots with the same stuff Molby used to stuff his bra with?

Can't understand the stats eh?
I'm not suprized you don't get 'clean sheets', Herr Skidmarkz.

Oh I understand them. I just actually like to watch football and make up my mind that way.
I am sure playing CM5 is just as rewarding for you though.
By TheBusbyBoy, at 7:48 AM
Ooh CM! How many hours did I waste on that in 2003...!
By WhatsupWheaton Simon, at 7:53 AM
I love CM. Haven't played since college. I discovered Neil Lennon before he was anything at Leicester.
I think you can play online now right? Maybe we should all get it and setup an online league where we just play a couple of games a week?
By TheBusbyBoy, at 8:09 AM
Actually John this isnt a bad idea, I will look into the logistics of this. If we set up a league you can be Glentoran - I will pick .. Brazil. I know one other lad here, Duffinho may go for this CL business!

I feel vindicated because of I had to google CM.
It's now 'football manager' on the spectrum, I can tell ya.
This is why my passing analysis peice wont make this blog!
