What a Train-Wreck!

This show is just a disaster. Its like an episode of Wife-Swap or Dr. Phil though in that I have to pause my Friday night channel surfing just to remind myself how bad it is. The phone calls, the Irish barman, the fake admiration for MLS, both presenters trying to talk over each other with their clichéd opinions, the fake bottles of beer in the background.....the whole thing is just excruciating. Please make this stop.

  • Gotta agree with John - this is one of the worst shows I have ever witnessed - in Ireland and Britain you get spoiled by actual good coverage of soccer - nick and Steve with their horrible MLS Lovefest and guests like Max Bretos are a laughing stock. I will say its always entertaining but any self respecting Brit will tell you that this is so low grade.

As for Americans in England - top marks to Friedel - shant complain there - Reyna I have no time for , he doesnt do much on the ball and City's plight is rarely related to his. McBride I really like, good old fashioned English style center forward - Bocanegra has been mising much of this year and not exactly been good when he has been there... 2 from 4 I say there...

  • First off, welcome crewfun. Someone finally found us.

That Fox Show is a train wreck. I love how they put actors in the background pretending to share a pint and a laugh. "I'm going out in my Fulham kit to th studio with my Middlesboro mate and his Charlton mate." It's ludicruous.

As to crewfan, I've supported Fulham since Bracewell was the manager and we had Hahneman and Eddie Lewis and couldn't wait to see the back of them. Don't think Fulham now exist cos you got a few yanks playing. At the same time, McBride and Boca do give the club more visibility in the states.

  • Actually John, I think so too... its coincidental that Google listed us today as well but you uare right, sounds like a wind up!

  • Reyna is arse - I liked him in Scotland and I think his play at Citeh is better than it was at Sunderland but overall he doesnt score as he has no composure in front of goal and i dont think he does enough in the middle of the park. I dont hate him by any means, but I just dont think he does enough in that position, he does a lot of sideways passing.

  • Yup, just look at the following:

"watch it every week with my friends on my travel team."

"That is if any of them want to leave MLS which is one of the up-and-coming leagues in the world."

"Have you seen their time of possession for the last couple of games."

I mean, not even Max Bretos or Andras could seriously come out with this kind of rubbish.

    Hmm...April first.

  • Also a coincidence that CrewFan1 joined blogger in April 2006 :-)

  • Okay, everyone...meet my polar opposite: Crewfan.

    WHAT A FRIGGIN' JACKHOLE!

You guys have been ridiculing my anti-USA sentiments; I hope you now understand why I feel the way I do. It's people like Crewfan (kool-aid drinker extraordinaire!) who make me want to puke.

Oh, and that show...yet, it sucks, too!

  • I'm going to go on it.

The Missus' folks live really close to LA. I'll sneak in - tickets should be no problem.

I have a few soundbites I'd like to get out into the ether..

"are you two arse bandits"? is close to the top of the list.

It'll be double entendre heaven with "lobbed seaman", "pulled off his man", "Beasted his poo-chute" [okay maybe not that one].

Also watch for a "One-timed it on offense in double ellimination overtime taking his strike tally to the hot zone" go team soccerball type statement...

  • Go team soccerball... I hate these 2 guys yet i feel compelled to watch, much like watching Bretos who is equally a train wreck. Rich get me tickets as well.

  • If my dog had a face like that Nick(liverpool fan) guy I would shave his arse and train him to walk backwards.
