This is completely ridiculous. I thought Everton were meant to be tough but they are having a good whinge and now taking legal action for someone calling Johnson a diver. Soft as sh%te.

I know - this is pathetic. I would be much more sympathetic if it was say Watford or Wigan who were complaining as they appear to me to be cleaner clubs but EVERTON have the worst cheat in England on their team. AJ is a diver, he flings himself to the ground all the time. Granted Maurinho has no right to slag him off as he manages 2 of the worst 3 divers in the Prem today (Robben and self confessed diver Drogba). Everton just lost respect for me, not that i had a lot for them to be fair!

is this some publicity stunt or should they just go home and cry to their mommies?

I have no problem with it. Somebody needs to shut Mourinho up. If it takes the threat of legal action to do so then fine by me. I noticed he retracted it pretty quickly which is a first. The worst dive I have EVER seen was the time Robben hit the ground when Reina touched his ear. After that, Mourinho doesn't have a leg to stand on when it comes to talking about diving.
I don't think Everton would have taken the legal thing too far but it definitely had the desired effect.
