Season finale and Liverpool dreams

Okay - some clever fella realised that Chelsea host United on April 14th - also known as FA CUP SEMI FINAL day. Odds on United and/or Chelsea will be in the semis especially with Arsenal or Liverpool eliminated at the first hurdle.

If that happens - Chelsea v United will be moved to May 8 or 9, a midweek game just prior to the last fixture of the season the following weekend.

Assuming United can keep Chelsea at bay long enough and the gap is within 3 points that will be a mouthwatering week. Chelsea just prior to that game would face Arsenal at the Emirates in the league. What a week in store , potentially :)

    New Bid for L.F.C

Michael jackson is rumoured to have put a bid in to buy the club.

Apparently the prospect of being spanked at home by eleven kids was too good to pass up.

  • I just want to commiserate with all the Liverpool fans in life - those who thought 2 east ties HOME to Arsenal in both cups and thought we havent conceded a goal in months. NOw you have conceded 9 in 3 days, some of which were to a team that replaced people I have never heard with more people i have never heard of.
Rafa fielded a hell of a stronger side than we did last night and could have fielded a stronger one still but do not lose sight of the fact that Liverpool B and Gerrard were murdered by Arsenal G. Love it!!!!

  • Bring back memories of this Simon?

1990 - League Cup fourth round (Highbury). Arsenal 2 Manchester United 6.

Arsenal only needed to avoid defeat to seal a club record unbeaten run. It all started to go horribly wrong after just 60 seconds when Clayton Blackmore put the visitors in front. Mark Hughes and Lee Sharpe increased United's lead, only for Alan Smith to drag the Gunners back into the game with a second-half double. However, United, and Sharpe in particular, weren't to be denied. The England winger struck twice more to complete his hat-trick before Danny Wallace wrapped up United's highest away win in the competition.
