Blog rules

Okay guys - need to go over some common sense rules. The idea of this thing isnt to yell you suck louder than the other guy yelling you suck. We want people to actually post and odds are random visitors will in the future. If you have something intelligent to say , then say it, if you have nothing intelligent to say but can say it wittily then say that as I laugh at all the banter - if you just want to run your mouth and say nothing intelligent or witty then hold off a few minutes till something does come to mind. Odds on CrewFan1 was a fake, then again maybe he was real. Keep it witty and posting 4 straight I hate Crewfan/soccerguy posts is a bit unecessary when you can put it all in one. No-one wants to see 50 posts from one guy, less is sometimes more. We dont resort to mocking other people's names as thats really juvenile.

  • What's a jackhole? Just kidding. Fair enough, Simon, and I think the spirit here is mostly all good. Hope crewfan comes back if only for the entertainment value.

  • Lighten up, Francis. If you take yourself too seriously, you might have a heart attack and die prematurely. What's life for if not to laugh as often as possible - hopefully most often at the person gazing back at you in the mirror? (although, doing so at the expense of others is also a lot of fun)

  • Lads - I go off the blog for a week and this is how we treat a RTC newby in our little slice of football heaven.

In an ode to the hardest working club in MLS, this posting strikes me as analogous to The Clash's London (Columbus) Calling:

This is an apocalyptic song, detailing the many ways the world could end, including the coming of the ice age, starvation, war and the Red, White and Blue lifting the World Cup.

It was the song (crewfan1) that best defined The Clash (not San Jose, but Major League Soccer), who were known for lashing out against injustice (soccer snobs) and rebelling against the establishment (EPL), which is pretty much what Punk Rock (emerging soccer nationalism) is all about.

I say GAC and crewfan1 bury the bocanegra over a few beers at Buffalo Wild Wings....

On a more absurd note, Nick and Steve are appalling. Their football expertise is restricted to pumping up their respective clubs and vilifying Wenger. They know less than zero about MLS and are really dumbing down an already footbally challenged viewership. FSC needs to pull the plug on the Triple F.
