Irony - Keane to Sunderland
Clear misuse of the word unless Mr O'Toole wishes pestilence and plague on any one who joins Sunderland.
Yes, Keane is the new gaffer.

Holy Sh*t. I just saw your post too John. I am floored, absolutely floored. I have missed Keano as I hate him and want to mock the loathable backstabber. Is Quinn on crack or is Quinn doing this so he can sack him in 3 months :) Magic stuff this.

Always loved Sunderland.

A friend of mine pointed out how dolorous Aberdeen were when Ferg took over there so Keano's first foray on management will be interesting. And entertaining if his history is anything to go by.
Will Sunderland now be known as the Yellow Dogs instead of the Black Cats?

Happy enough with the teams, but I'll reserve judgement on group G until I hear when we play the Russian away leg and how these fall into the Premiership fixtures.

Can't complain about our draw. Probably better than we deserve considering our form in the competition in recent years.
Celtic will be tricky and form kind of goes out the window for these games but I would take it over playing some of the other second seeds (Bayern Munich, PSV, Roma, Lyon and Porto)
Benfica will be tricky but hopefully we have learned from their results against us and Liverpool last season and will get it right this time.
Don't know much about FC Copenhagen but again we could have tougher 4th seeds - Spartak, Kiev, Galatasaray, Hamburg.
We should go through and then it just becomes a cup competition and depends on who is on form and injury-free come March.

Gotta say i am mostly pleased with Arsenal draw, i dont fear any of our teams at home and fancy we wont lose all 3 away so shuold get through though i am sure it wont be easy. What a pity for Chelsea - snigger... United V Celtic is going to be fun. Keaneo why didnt you play on for Celtic one more year!!

Mark 25 Nov on your calendar. Keane's Sunderland play McCarthy's Wolves. That game should be televised.

Ha. Nice work Chris.
Thank God Roy retired. I couldn't handle him playing against United.
What odds United draw Sunderland in the FA Cup this year?
By TheBusbyBoy, at 5:21 PM
Wolves V Sunderland, i never thought i would care so much but that will be a Thanksgiving treat! Anyone else heard that Roy wants Alfe Inge Haaland to be his number 2?
By WhatsupWheaton Simon, at 11:33 AM
Interesting that Simon brings up Haaland to thebusbyboy after the latter ridiculed Ben Thatcher...which "challenge" was worse?
By GAC, at 1:00 PM
Gee...thats a tough one.
By TheBusbyBoy, at 3:04 PM
Ya, definitely a tough one: (From the Times)
"The Portuguese will undergo a series of tests on his central nervous system after the force of Thatcher’s forearm smash, which sent him crashing into the advertising hoardings, induced a fit, knocked him unconscious and left him bleeding from one ear and requiring oxygen and a drip."
You know what they do to pretty, fit young lads like you in jail right Ben?
By TheBusbyBoy, at 4:51 PM
It's actually f%?king spineless. He's real hard man. Real tough to take someone out when they're not looking for it. It looked like something out of Aussie rules football or something. Someone's going to give Thatcher a hiding down the boozer and show him for the soft shite than he is.
