God bless the Merse (who makes up half my email address) - still one of my favourite players for England despite never fulfilling his potential. But back when Arsenal winning 1-0 and hoofing it miles was the norm, Merson was a breath of fresh air with his flair and quality goals. He just could never manage the tap in goals. Ironically he performed best in his final season - Wenger flogged him and brought in Overmars. I hope Merse is soon England player manager.
This is a football (soccer) blog - here we post anything that will interest us in the world of the beautiful game - be it the Premiership, MLS, the World Cup

I am going to use this line in my next interview:
"Having the word sacked on my CV doesn't frighten me. I don't believe in CVs anyway"
