The game that had EVERYTHING
Best game of the cup and wont be surpassed - a brilliant to watch 2-2 draw.
The game has 2 missed penalty calls by Graham Poll, both would have gone to Australia. There is a goal which is off-side that Australia get away with , there are 3 reds, sensationally one man got 3 yellows before his red as Poll really lost the plot. Croatia nearly went up 3-2 after Poll mistakenly let the Croat stay on and had Croatia scored it would have been the most controversial goal of recent years. This game is magic and well worth catching the highlights of - i will post some highlights when I find them as FIFA's own dont show the controversial stuff. Graham Poll wont ref again at this World Cup - he was a disgrace! At one point there are even 2 balls on the pitch. Incredible match. And did I forget the Australian goalkeeper who was called up as Schwarzer was dropped? Well this goalkeeper is the ALL TIME worst keeper in World Cup history, gifting Croatia one goal, not dealing with the free kick and coughing up the ball twice to the Croats to nearly give them a third! Magic.

Schwartzer looked shaky in the Aussies first games so I'm not surprized that Hiddink changed things up. But I am surprized that Kaglic(sp.) is even in the squad. He's the worst we've seen so far, on a par with that hapless Saudi.
Schwartzer can probably rest assured of a recall.
Simon, you forgot to mention that Poll disallowed an Aussie goal at the half because he'd already blown the whistle. Shades of Clive Walker. Is it something to do with the water in England?

Yep Schwartzer was dropped - I thought he has been alright, couldnt fault him for Japanese goal as I felt he was mugged for it and in the Brazil game both shots were right in the corner. Oh well - this other fella Kallac was just fantastic - made so many errors. The wont risk him again. I wouldnt risk O Toole either, the Kendall want to transfer him to some paraplegic league.

Patrick - what the hell would you watch Brazil for? Cant you do Maths? They were already through and Japan were effectively out whereas the other 2 had to get a result. I will get you an abacus for Xmas. Just so you know tunisia v ukraine means something today - try not to spend your day watching the irrelevant Spain game. Plonker. Did you even go to school?

Patrick - do you not have a button on yur DVR remote called "swap heads"? I do on my Comcast one. If you swap heads you can leave the other head taping the game and then surf or tape other stuff. Took me a little while to find that but then I don't read manuals. I find them as boring as a post from Rich.
