Richard Hughes prepares to apologise

Hughes spouts bollox Just recently someone who will remain nameless - (to spare his blushes, I will assign him the moniker Richard Hughes) recently commented that Arsenal are cheats. See link above. Only today, this has been completely disproved and thanks to the BBC you can all see how in fact that Arsenal werent involved in any wrong-doing whatsoever. I sit here at my keyboard knowing that any minute Richard Hughes (alias) is about to write a long apology and declare himself an Arsenal fan.

The FA has cleared asrenal of breaching any FA rules. Fortunatley it's the FIFA rules that will get them slung out.

  • Nice try: Fifa wont touch it.
See comments and pls dont rush that apology. Send in Hans Blick and see what he decides Richard Bush.

Initially it was thought that any ensuing investigation would fall under FIFA's jurisdiction but today director of communications Markus Siegler confirmed the relevant FAs must first examine the claims.

He said: 'The Belgian Football Association must look at their member club and the English Football Association must look at their member club.

'According to the structure of rules and responsibility which are in place, the FA have to look into the matter.

'Arsenal are innocent until proven guilty but if there is a story like this in the media - and there is clearly a matter which needs investigation here - then the FA must take it up and deal with it.

'FIFA are interested in all cases around the world but individual members must run football in their country.

'They must take responsibility for their members so absolutely this is a case for the FA to deal with.

'It is a big story in the UK which involves Arsenal. I don't know if anything illegal has been done but it is for the FA to look into.'

  • I said all along this was a storm in a tea cup and noted how Arsenal had not gained improperly. Rich is viewing this through the Prism of SOX 404 but what if's don't count here.

  • Reyna has retired and you guys are discussing this? Please! Let's all have a moment of silence to remember the greatness, the quality, the dedication of the #10. Phew...glad that moment's over!
