UNITED IN CRISIS

UNITED - played 3, scored 1, won 0. SEASON IN TATTERS Manager buys no proper strikers... Humiliated by City. There is always Europe United fans. I am seeing Arsenal later and know that if Blackburn beat us 10-0 we are still ap oint clear of United with a game in hand.

  • Woz up bitches? Back for a new season. Like the Yankees, it's a little bit early to take too much pleasure from United's poor start. I'm sure they will recover. Ronaldo is suspended, Rooney is injured and Ole and Saha are still injured leaving few options up front and G Neville is still injured.
    From a neutral perspective, the season so far is great for football. I think there could be more parity this year. City's form will drop off no doubt as more of Sven's foreign signings get crocked. Liverpool seem improved. Tottenham's form is surprising so far but they have some injuries as well.
    Of course, Adebayor has been injured and no doubt will be banging in goals left, right and centre to the benefit of Arsenal fans and to me who has him on my fantasy team. Not that anyone give's a toss but for disclosure purposes also have Malouda and Ronaldo so have an interest in the top teams scoring.

  • While I hope that City qualify for Europe, I will be happy with a top ten finish. But as far as our form "falling off," I would hope you consider the fact that we have played (and defeated) two poor squads and one, United, that is hurting. So, it's not fair to say that our current form is very remarkable at all. It's a great start at 3-0 but there are 35 matches remaining in the campaign.

  • Not interested in Owen or Defoe. Hope Fergie isnt either.

    Berbatov might be a buy next season if sicknote saha continues his usual form.

    Right now I think Anelka and Martins most likely candidates. Martins would give us some size and strengths which we lack when Saha is out. Anelka would be our only striker who would actually look for the through ball instead of coming out and looking for the ball.

    We might not sign any though.

  • Anelka would be a great signing for you. He's on big wages, but probably not a problem for you. Selling him and getting Diouf was Houllier's bigest mistake, IMHO.
