Thankyou United ???

Thanks United, perfect way to start the Monday - Spurs at home dont get a point in a game they probably deserved one - Rooney with a nice brace to help my fantasy team (and thankyou Darren Bent for another). So the Maths is this: If Arsenal beat Spurs we need at most 7 points from Sunderland (A), Man City (A) and Wigan (H) to snatch 4th. If we draw against Spurs we need to win all 3 remaining games and hope Spurs dont beat both Bolton (H) and West Ham (A). Vidic today was lucky to stay on the pitch but overall played very well I felt. Good signing that guy.

  • I knew you would have your United shirt on today. You probably found your old Watford one as you were rummaging through the closet looking for it.
United v Spurs is usually a good game and it was again today. Now if only I could watch United live before every work day.
Defoe's finishing was bad. Hope Liverpool do sign him after all. We definitely had a bit of luck today but I'm not sure the corner for the Spurs goal was a corner.
Vidic is looking like a great signing though today was not his best game. Can't say the same about Evra. Don't know why we bought him especially when we have Heinze coming back. I think I prefer Silvestre to Evra.

  • I'll say that Vidic didn't have his best game today. I saw glimpses of technique that the French Fester, Pascal Cygan would probably consider a tribute ---
comic running around and heading the ball straight down into the area. Formidable!

Can you point to a performance of Vidic's that was as good as this was shocking?

But despite him, I got the result I wanted.

  • Er I seem to remember him having a good game when we beat the Arse Bandits 2-0 recently.

  • Oooh, cutting!

I'd have thought that his play against us was closer to "adequate," but if you're satisfied with his comic technique and vision, I certainly am... as long as he's playing for United.

If we can overcome the mental stuff that always impedes us when it comes to you, the prospect of facing any of Rio, O'Shea, Sylvestre, Neville, and now Vidic is a pretty promising one. True, you'll have Heinze back and he's real quality.

  • For "overcome the mental stuff" read "avoid shitting our pants"

  • Aye, meaning avoid being kicked at. Arsenal just need to convert early pressure into a goal or 2 in one of these fixtures....

  • boo hoo. nobody kicked you last day.

  • Oh and you were winning 1-0 and 2-1 when we beat you 4-2 in Highbury last season so so much for the "if we could just score first" theory.

  • Facker, you are right... damn you and your attention to detail. Fair enough. We are going through a phase right now where we cant beat you , except in FA Cup finals (somehow) but like all things it will turn around, hopefully while I am still alive.

  • Well you are in the Champions League semi-final so I can't be too hard on you :-)
